Hi Lucy
Welcome to Westfield Park - sorry to hear about the noise problem though! I don't know who this is and being on Yarrow Close I don't hear it myself but you can call 101 if the problem persists and you know the house number.

Beanie - even I heard this on the weekend - and I dont usually hear anything!! Have you tried 101 too?

Thanks for the welcome I dont know the house number dont even know if its Ramsons Way but all I know its way above the normal noise limits and just very frustrating when you are on shift work and saving lives as I do but hey ho people are so selfish, yes Beanie that quad bike frustrating also again just shows how selfish people are but I will keep in mind 101 fingers crossed these people wont need my help in hospital. Hi Lucy and welcome,

Sorry to hear about your noise issue. As a former shift worker I understand what you mean about noise when trying to sleep. Of course to most people day time is perceived as the best time in which to make noise as fewer are around but there are many more shift workers than people realise.
The council are quite hot on noise issues, first call is 101 but you can also call the local council direct if it is a major concern. Of course the best way in the first instance to really deal with it is to try to identify the house and a quiet word or a polite note through the door

Flo

Thank you for your welcome I wont be posting anything through the door because getting worken up from sleep is not very nice if you have worked shifts yourself you will appreciate but I will if it persists and I identify the house ring council and 101 but to be honest am I wasting my precious time??????????????????????????????
If the person concerned reads these messages just have some consideration am I the only one to hear the DIN????????????????????????????????

I don't live in Ransoms Way so no I haven't heard it.
To be honest I used to put on a sleep mask stick in ear plugs and just do my best with getting some sleep. I was never particularly successful I was lucky if I got about 4 hours. What used to get me most was when people cleaned their cars outside, not the actual cleaning of the car although vacuuming could be annoying but the playing of bluddy music whilst they were doing it.

But again most people simply don't realise you are sleeping and I am quite sure any noise was never done on purpose.

How is the drumming of late?

Hi Flo

Sorry havent replied earlier only I have been away for few days but before I went made enquiries about the situation with a family friend who is a council official and NO we havent got to put up with the noise a complaint can be logged if not logged already and action taken which I feel quite happy about as its affecting my sleep hence my work and I need to be switched on to perform the responsible job I do so there are measures and guidelines to follow thank goodness.
Hopefully Flo it wont come to that if the person/s responsible just turn it down and have some consideration for people around.

Many thanks for the reply Lucy
