speed signs

Long tyre skid marks on roundabout, people driving around the wrong way, high speed driving thru estate.
Kids playing do we want to risk a child being killed or injured?

how Speed
How do people feel about us getting 20mph speed signs with message children playing.
Can we ask the council to make and place the signs?
Alot of children playing in the street, happilly like us adults did in our streets when we were younger.
I am sure we all want to see them safe and playing happily and would hate to see an ambulance called due to us neglecting to confront this issue.
Most if not all residents do drive appropriately, but some people are not. Visitors or delivery people possibly.
As responsible adults we have a duty to take care of the generations growing up where we live.
Any thoughts wlcomed

Hi Colin,

Great idea - especially given the number of cars that are parked out on the roads, starting at the top end of Marguerites Way just off the r/about, as it is difficult to see people coming off the pavement into the road.
Maybe this can be brought up on the meeting next week.

Regarding the speeding through the estate, a motorcyclist who lives at the lower end of Marguerites Way who rides his motorbike way too fast needs to slow down for everyones sake.

Yes quite agree, I often hear him "VROOMING" past in the afternoon. That stretch of Marguerites Way is quite bad for speeding.

Have to agree that we all need to be aware now that summer is coming and more children will be out and about. Some of the speeds that are reached around the Estate are way above 30mph never mind 20mph. Also now have someone who lives on Ramsons Way who is driving around on a quad bike, sometimes accompanied by a very young girl sitting on his lap and without a crash helmet.

Lets encourage everyone to kill their speed before they kill a child.
